ENGR. SIMON WASINYA PALLAM

Born on 15th December 1968 in a town called Pallam in Madagali local government area of Adamawa state in Nigeria,
I was brought up in a family of Mr. & Mrs. Wasinya Pallam. At the age of eight years, I attended primary school education
at the Central Primary school Pallam from 1976-1982 where I obtained First school leaving certificate. Having gained admission
into Government Junior secondary school Kirchinga in 1983, and proceeded to Government Secondary school Shuwa in Madagali
Local Government in 1985, I passed out in 1987 after passing GCE/WAEC O' Level exams with Six credits and one pass in Science
subjects.
In 1989 I got admission into the Federal University of Technology Yola, Nigeria, where I graduated with Upper
second-class Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering in 1995 as the best Graduate of
Electrical/Electronic Engineering Department.
I proceeded for the National youth service corps (NYSC) from 1995 - 1996
where I spent one year serving in Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria (SPDC) Warri, Delta state.
Immediately
after the period of National youth service corps in SPDC Warri, I picked up a career in Information Technology with Weco Computer
systems limited, Warri, Delta state, Nigeria, as Systems Engineer on 2nd December 1996. While in Weco, I attended Compaq Corporation
training school in Lagos where I qualified as an Accredited Compaq Technician (ACT) in year 2000. Having worked for five years
(1996-2001) in Weco computer systems limited, I resigned my appointment at the position of Head of Engineering on 10th August
2001.
I picked up another appointment as the Engineering Manager with SIJU-TEC SYSTEMS Warri, Delta state, on 15th
August 2001. I later resigned my appointment from SIJU-TEC SYSTEMS in June 2003 to Join Information Technology Department
of Bank of the North limited, Kano, as IT Officer in July 2003.
